Regarding Resilience celebrates 19 women from diverse backgrounds and experiences blending photographic portraits with personal stories. It explores responsive inner strength and perseverance, fragility, and vulnerability when confronted with emotional, physical, or cultural challenges that influenced and changed their lives.

The show run through April 7, 2024 at the Carrboro Town Hall with a closing reception April 6, 1:30-3:30 with Chapel Hill’s Red Nucleus Band featuring original finger-style music by David Cooper and Michael Goy.

Through a collaborative process blending photographic portraiture with personal narrative, these women are depicted photographically and metaphorically integrating the aesthetics of light and shadow and the objects and environmental backdrops symbolic of transitions and memories of loss and love.
