The Chapel Hill-Carrboro NAACP invites the community to honor Martin Luther King Day on Monday, January 15, with a march from Peace & Justice Plaza to First Baptist Church. The event will begin with a rally at Peace & Justice Plaza (179 E. Franklin St.) at 10 a.m.; the march will commence at 10:15, followed by a commemoration program at First Baptist Church (106 N. Roberson St.) at 11 a.m. featuring NC NAACP President Deborah Dicks Maxwell.

The NAACP will accept canned food donations for the IFC Food Pantry at the march and the service.
