Here is the music lineup for Saturday evening, September 3.


Alice Osborn
7 p.m. – 9 p.m. at Epilogue

Alice Osborn will be performing at Epilogue Books at 109 E. Franklin St. is a Raleigh-based singer-songwriter who performs neo-folk/Americana rooted in the New South. Her music features poignant lyrics, catchy melodies, and powerful vocals—she is currently recording a new album, Skirts in the Snow: Beyond the Donner Party Tragedy, due for release in late summer, featuring the voices of loss, love, and hope from the women (and one male ally!) of the ill-fated Donner Party of 1846-1847. Alice has served as the Artist in Residence for the Western Wake Farmers Market since 2018 and is the President of the North Carolina Songwriters Co-op. She also teaches fiddle, guitar, ukulele, and bluegrass banjo.

Al Sylverfish
7 p.m. – 9 p.m. at 140 West

Al Sylverfish will be performing at 140 West Franklin. Al, aka Alex Blanco, writes and composes easy melodies with simple arrangements placing the attention on the lyrics. These communicate deep feelings from the heart in just a few words but with emotion. If you mix achy-breaky country themes with tango drama you get an eclectic mix of ballads and pop tunes with an indie touch that set the tone for Al’s repertoire and his unique style. Stay tuned, there is more to come!

J Candeed
7 p.m. – 9 p.m. at Talulla’s

J Candeed will be performing near Talulla’s at 456 W. Franklin St. J Candeed is the musical embodiment of the optimistic spirit. With an upbeat and evolving sound, he blends elements of the hill-country blues, traditional bluegrass and psychedelic groove using a mandola, kick and snare drum.
