Travelers! This month is an ongoing celebration of pride for and in the entire community who calls The Gathering Place home or has found friendship within our walls. This year, Wizards of the Coast has brewed up a very special commander format for Pride, and we’re bringing it to our tables on Saturday, June 29!

Saturday, June 29, local games stores across the world will be hosting Commander format Magic: The Gathering with a twist; All Legendary creatures have the Partner ability!

Crazy decks and ample opportunity to break the mold come with this chaos-filled format. This event will be run at Casual REL, with a $5 Buy-In. Prize Support will come in the form of iconic pride figures from magic’s history. Some of these cards include:

Ral, Monsoon Mage!
Kynaios and Tiro of Meletis!
Nico Aris!
and many more!

All Day Pride $1 Raffles, with half of all raffle proceeds going to The Durham LGBTQ Center!

June is a month to celebrate free expression and diversity within the LGBTQ+ community, and there’s no better way to do it than a full day at one of Chapel Hill’s most progressive spaces. We hope to see you all soon!
