Co-hosted with the Hargraves Center, the workshop introduces participants to barely-known chapters of local history through the lens of race, beginning with Jim Crow segregation and the first sit-ins on Franklin Street.

A slideshow will enable participants to critically examine narratives of Chapel Hill’s past through primary source material from Jackson Center archives, including oral histories, newspaper clippings, and photos.
