Here is the music lineup for Saturday evening, August 13.
Robert Morton will be performing at Epilogue Books at 109 E. Franklin St. Robert started songwriting during his sophomore year of college to help understand himself better and connect with others over feelings such as heartbreak, compassion, loss, and finding hope. Songwriting and playing music with others is his outlet for navigating the world around him and his own life. Inspired by talented artists including Ed Sheeran,Taylor Swift, and Jon Bellion, Robert pushes himself to be more creative with writing, exploring his musical interests, and growing as a musician.
Back in July 2021, Robert released his debut full length album, “Late Night Thoughts”, and toured the album in his local community. Recorded and written in his own house prior to and throughout COVID, “Late Night Thoughts” dives into the feelings of loss and betrayal on songs such as “Lies” and “Death In The Family, but also on deepening love and support in songs such as “Breathe Again” and “No One Else Like You”.
Robert has currently been working towards his next major project in 2022: a 2nd full length album. If you enjoy his music, feel free to reach out to him via his website or through social media.
