Here is the music lineup for Friday evening, August 12.
Rob Gelblum, aka The Songoloist, will be performing at Dead Mule Club located at 303 W. Franklin St. Playing everything from folk to R&B, pre-’90s rock, Americana, bluegrass, reggae, Appalachian, old-time, mountain, soul and older country.
Rob’s been getting back to music over the past few years after 35 years suing polluters as an environmental lawyer. He was a busker in Paris for 2 years in the ’70s and played the Triangle music scene before starting law school in ’81. He’s been honored to gig over the past couple years at various Triangle venues. Rob has also been the house busker at Merritt’s Grill and Honeysuckle Teahouse. Feel free to reach out to Rob to arrange a gig (free for good causes, inexpensive for venues/events) or play some music. You can follow him here, “fan” him here, friend/like/follow him here, and subscribe to him here!
Snatch the Snail will play at 140 West Franklin. The band is from from North Carolina and has been making music since 2012. They have hundreds of songs available on all streaming platforms and they perform those songs live when possible. Their genre can be described as alternative rock, though they like to believe they’re a lot more than that.

Stevan Jackson will perform in front of Talullas, located at 456 W. Franklin St.
One can see Stevan wearing several hats. One of those is as a singer-songwriter, writing melodies and lyrics to songs in different genres and with multi-variant themes. He uses different instruments as vehicles to convey the message of his songs to his audience. Stevan also composes instrumental pieces for Celtic harp, guitar, piano, mandolin, and banjo. Shows performed by Stevan often encompasses only his original material.
